This edition was published in 1861, but it is a reprint of the Sixtus Clement Latin Vulgate Bible published in the 1590's. The editor of this 1861 edition was Carolus Vercellone. (His first name, in Italian, is Carlo, but in Latin it is Carolus.) This version is published on this site as a digital scan of each and every page. To make the scans of each page, the book had to be torn apart and cut into separate pages. Photos were taken of the book before it was cut up.
