Help | Biblia Sacra, Vulgatę Editionis, Anno 2009
Version Information
This revision of the Pope Sixtus V and Pope Clement VIII, Latin Vulgate Bible is a work in progress. Estimated year of completion: 2009. It is a lightly-edited update of the Biblia Sacra, Vulgatę Editionis, Sixti V et Clementis VIII, which was first published in the late 1500's. Four editions were published: 1590 (under Pope Sixtus V), and 1592, 1593, 1598 (under Pope Clement VIII). This particular edition is estimated to be completed, if God is willing, in the year 2009. This edition is based primarily on the 1914 edition of the Latin Vulgate, edited by Hetzenauer, which includes notes in the appendix comparing differences between the Latin, Greek, and Hebrew texts. This 2009 edition is the work of Ronald L. Conte Jr., under the grace and providence of God.
